2026 event program confirmed
The Calgary Salutes Coordinating Committee has confirmed its 2026 event program. The Esquimalt Barn Burner Epic Weekend runs May 22–24 at CFB Esquimalt, British Columbia, marking the 31st anniversary of HMCS Calgary's commissioning. The Calgary Salutes Coordinating Committee has confirmed its 2026 event program. The committee met on March 31, 2026, to review and approve the calendar for the coming year.
Esquimalt Barn Burner Epic Weekend — May 22–24, 2026
The weekend visit to CFB Esquimalt, British Columbia, marks the 31st anniversary of HMCS Calgary's commissioning. The program includes:
- Friday, May 22: Paris Sahlen Golf Tournament at Pacific Highland Golf, Victoria
- Saturday, May 23: HMCS Calgary Barn Burner at the HMCS Venture Gunroom, CFB Esquimalt
- Sunday, May 24: Orca Day Sail and Wardroom Reception at CFB Esquimalt
Calgary Barn Burner — July 2, 2026
The Calgary Barn Burner returns to The Commons at ATCO Park | Blue Flame Kitchen (5302 Forand Street SW). The event runs 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and is open to the public. Tickets will be available through the City of Calgary. Check the Events section for full details and the ticket link.
