The Mural of Honour greets visitors entering the Queen Elizabeth II Atrium at The Military Museums. Its 240 panels preserve people, events and stories from Calgary’s and Canada’s military history.
How did the Mural begin? How was it developed? Who is represented, and what stories are captured across its panels?
Calgary Salutes’ Heritage and History Subcommittee, in partnership with The Military Museums, will explore those questions at Making of the Mural: A Mosaic of Calgary’s and Canada’s Military History and Legacy.
Karen Storwick, MSM, Director of the Mural of Honour and the person behind its development, will be the featured speaker.
